Waverley Villa enjoys a great relationship with the renowned Rothiemurchus Estate, Clay pigeon shooting can be arranged at the Rothiemurchas shooting grounds. Seasonal game shooting eg. pheasant, roe and red deer shoots can be organised by prior arrangement.

Grantown is bordered by ancient woodlands including Anagach Woods which has marked trails and paths providing access for walking, running, orienteering or cycling.
